스타쉽엔터테인먼트가 5년만에 선보이는 보이그룹으로 주목 받은 ‘CRAVITY(크래비티)’가 데뷔 앨범을 발표하고 힘찬 첫 발을 내딛는다.

CRAVITY(크래비티)는 세림, 앨런, 정모, 우빈, 원진, 민희, 형준, 태영, 성민 총 9명의 멤버로 구성된 보이 그룹으로,

‘Creativity’와 ‘Gravity’를 결합시켜 ‘독창적인 매력으로 우리의 우주(평행세계)로 끌어들이겠다’는 정체성을 뜻한다.

‘Center of Gravity’의 약자이기도 한 CRAVITY(크래비티)는 서로 다른 멤버들이 하나로 모였을 때 완벽한 균형을 이뤄 최고의 무대를 선사하겠다는 포부도 담겨있다.

CRAVITY(크래비티)만의 독창적인 색을 담은 음악, 날선 퍼포먼스와 완벽한 팀워크를 구축한 아홉 청춘의 힘찬 에너지가 2020년 K팝씬이 주목할 초대형 신인을 예고한다.

누구나 처음을 경험한다. 학교, 사회, 사람들과의 관계 등 모든 것은 처음이 있고 우리는 늘 그 시작점에 서서 달린다.

처음은 설레기도 하지만 두렵기도 하고 희망을 주기도 하지만 절망을 경험하게 하기도 한다.

CRAVITY(크래비티)는 데뷔앨범인 SEASON1. [HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE]를 통해 첫 시작에 대한 다양한 감정들을 공유한다.
[HIDEOUT]은 데뷔앨범을 포함하여 앞으로 나올 세 번의 시즌을 대표하는 테마로,

첫 여정을 시작하며 느끼는 다양한 감정들을 [HIDEOUT]이라는 우리들만의 공간을 통해 공유하고 교감을 꿈꾼다.

또한, 팬들에게 행복과 위로가 될 수 있는 아지트가 되고 싶은 CRAVITY(크래비티)의 마음도 함께 표현하고 있다.

더불어 세계관 속 아홉 명의 주인공들이 누구도 경험하지 못했던 세계에 발을 내디디며 서로를 찾아가고 기댈 수 있는 안식처가 된다는 의미를 담고 있는 키워드이다.

타이틀곡 ‘Break all the Rules’는 파워풀한 드럼과 다채로운 보컬 멜로디와 하모니가 인상적인 어반 힙합 (Urban-hip hop) 장르로,

EXO의 ‘Coming Over’, 몬스타엑스의 ‘DRAMARAMA’, ‘Alligator’ 트와이스의 ‘Heart Shaker’등을 탄생시킨

Drew Ryan Scott, Sean Michael Alexander, Gionata Caracciolo, Val Del Prete, Willie Weeks가 작곡에 참여했다.

또한, 국내 최정상 아이돌 그룹의 대표 히트곡을 탄생시킨 서지음 작사가가 참여해 세상을 향해 던지는 CRAVITY(크래비티)의 당찬 포부를 감각적인 가사로 그려냈다.

For the first time in five years, Starship Entertainment is presenting a spotlighted new boy group ‘CRAVITY’ who is ready to take their first powerful step along with release of their debut album. The group consisting of nine members (Serim, Allen, Jungmo, Woobin, Wonjin, Minhee, Hyeongjun, Taeyoung, Seongmin) is titled as ‘CRAVITY’ by combining two words “Creativity” and “Gravity”. It is meant to attract/gravitate people into their unique universe with creative charm that they possess. ‘CRAVITY’ which is also an acronym for “Center of Gravity” intended to show you the greatest performance ever with the perfect balance they achieved by unification of each member’s unique identities. The exclusive music containing CRAVITY’s own colors, powerful performances and their perfect team work embracing energy of 9 youths foreshow another huge wave in 2020 KPOP scene.

We all have our own “first experiences” whether it would be school, society, or relationship in between people. We encounter new relationships and we always prepare and run from the starting line like we always have. Our heart starts to race and we sometimes get butterflies but at the same time we are afraid. We are also hopeful but we also experience despair. CRAVITY, through the debut album SEASON1. [HIDEOUT: REMEMBER WHO WE ARE], share and convey different emotions. with its debut album represents the theme of the upcoming 3 seasons. The emotions felt through the first journey/adventure will be conveyed through our own where we can dream and share our experiences. CRAVITY desires to build a hideout/space where they can bring happiness to their fans and give them comfort. Additionally, this keyword symbolizes the 9 members stepping into the world that no one has experienced before to make a haven where they can find and lean on each other. The first season’s message “REMEMBER WHO WE ARE” contains the willingness and the focus of the 9 members to showcase their music, performance and their aspirations to their fans and the general public.

 

‘Break all the Rules’… To deliver strong ambitions of the 9 youths upon their first journey.
The title track ‘Break all the Rules” is an Urban-hip-hop genre with its powerful drum sound, its colorful vocal melodies and distinctive harmony. Drew Ryan Scott, Sean Michael Alexander, Gionata Caracciolo, Val Del Prete, Willie Weeks who have created EXO’s ‘Coming Over’, MONSTA X’s ‘DRAMARAMA’, ‘Alligator’, TWICE’s ‘Heart Shaker’ and many others participated in composing this specific track. Well respected lyricist Jieum Seo who have produced many hit-songs of top-tier KPOP idol also participated to deliver CRAVITY’s strong aspiration toward world. ‘Break all the Rules’ will be a thematic song for the youth; hoping to step forward without hesitation, the song could be a word of comfort to oneself. Under the theme of breaking the rules and frames that are locking us up, each member’s characteristics/charms/skills are delivered along with overwhelming performance.
The roughness of its sound, powerful chorus, as well as the well-structured tight rap-vocal line is more than enough to show the completeness of CRAVITY’s teamwork.

 

SEASON 1 of CRAVITY with integrated know-how of Starship
The seven tracks displayed on the album build up emotions step by step, maintain tension and increase immersion. After rock-style “Top of the Chain,” a fusion of modern R&B and Hip-Hop genres, marks the grand start of CRAVITY, several trendy genres develop interestingly. While maintaining an intense hip-hop based mood, it has created more sensuous results by instilling emotional details with emotional harmonies. “Blackout,” a fusion of Pop and Urban-future trap styles, created a wonderful groove by harmonizing sophisticated senses, while “Jumper,” which MONSTA X’s Joohoney presented a customized style of song for his agency’s juniors, takes on the unstoppable energy of youth. The tracks, along with the suspenseful tracks, give a calm impression, are placed in the latter half to exert yet another force. Track No. 5 낯섦 (“Unfamiliar”) represents the CRAVITY’s view of the world that comforts each other even in an uneasy world, while the producer, Brother Su’s refreshing melody of “Cloud 9” is in harmony with the members, as its title implies “The happiest state.” The final track “Star” also sends a message of hope to each other or to the fans.

Especially, the sound of rough texture and the powerful chorus, as well as the excellent rap-vocal line operation of tightly choreographed members, is enough to show the completed teamwork.
